Elrena I. Heminover, 95, a long-time Janesville, WI area resident died Monday, February 28, 2011 at Woodside Lutheran Home in Green Bay, WI where she had made her home for the past 6 ½ years. Elrena was born on May 24, 1915 in Fort Atkinson, WI, the daughter of Otto and Alice (Stelter) Paul. She attended rural schools and graduated from Janesville High School. On September 8, 1934, she married John Heminover in Janesville. Elrena was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church where she belonged to St. Paul’s Ladies Aid and did volunteer work. Her husband, John, died on August 1, 1986.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Diane Buckner of Green Bay, Linda (special friend-Michael Matz) Olson of Edgerton, 4 grandsons, Jay Linneman, Todd (Jennifer) Linneman, Stephen (Melissa) Buckner, Scott Buckner, 3 great-grandsons, Tyler Linneman, Ben and Andrew Buckner, 3 great-granddaughters, Cameryn and Lauren Linneman, Hannah Buckner, a former son-in-law, Dennis (Diane) Olson. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Perry Buckner, 2 brothers and 6 sisters.

“Elrena’s family thanks Dr. Fred Walbrun and the staff of Woodside Lutheran Home for the wonderful care they gave to her during her residency there.”

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2011 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 210 South Ringold St., Janesville with Pastor Martin Homan officiating. Burial will follow in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer’s Association. Assisting the Heminover family is Henke-Clarson Funeral Home. www.henkeclarson.com.
